Designing wedding outfits for my good friends Hunter & Julio

Hi, this is Faye writing. Today I’m letting you in on one of the most meaningful projects I’ve ever worked on so far —designing wedding outfits for my very, very good friends, Hunter and Julio.

Six years ago, I set foot in Tulum, not knowing a soul, and Arsene introduced me to these two incredible people. Now, I got to be part of their celebration in the nicest and most creative way. The journey from friendship to this unforgettable moment has been nothing short of magical. Tulum, with its vibrant energy, has witnessed it all—our laughs, our adventures, and now this milestone. Let me take you behind the seams of this project.

When Hunter and Julio got engaged, I was overjoyed! I was thrilled when they asked me to design their wedding outfits. The excitement was real, but I won’t lie; it was also a bit stressful. Still, I always try to keep things fun and enjoyable in my work.

For their wedding, we took inspiration from the stunning colors of Bacalar lagoon—thinking of soft off-white with bright touches of turquoise and blue. I wanted to create suits that were not only stylish but also comfortable, allowing Hunter and Julio to shine on their special day. We even set a dress code for guests that encouraged vibrant colors, and seeing all those colors come together at the wedding was magical. You can catch a glimpse of it in the pictures below!

Outfits for the Weekend

To kick off the wedding weekend, I designed matching custom shirts for their Friday night celebration, beautifully embroidered with their names and the wedding date, paired with our Palma shorts. For Sunday’s boat party, they wore custom-printed "Just Married" shirts along with our Bandana swimwear shorts

Julio’s Look
Julio looked stunning in a silk see-through suit. His double-collared shirt had sweet heart embroidery, and the pearl buttons at the cuffs added a lovely touch. The wide-leg pants flowed perfectly, giving him a cool vibe that matched the day’s feel.

Hunter’s Look
Hunter looked sharp in a sleek sleeveless suit. His matching shirt and tie were embroidered with beautiful shades of blue and turquoise, perfectly tying in with Julio’s outfit.

The wedding was enchanting. More than just the ceremony, it was about three incredible days spent with friends we hadn’t seen in ages. It felt like a magical reunion filled with laughter, joy, and love. Celebrating Hunter and Julio's love while seeing my designs come to life was an experience I will always treasure.

I live for moments like this, surrounded by love, creativity, and sunshine. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.

Thank you, Hunter and Julio, for your trust and for these three days of pure joy and love. Here’s to love, creativity, and many more unforgettable moments ahead!

With love,
Faye
